This Bomber Pizza recipe brings together the best of a classic cheesesteak and a perfectly crispy pizza. Start by sautéing thinly sliced sweet onions in Texas Olive Ranch Roasted Garlic Extra Virgin Olive Oil until they're tender and slightly charred. Simultaneously, season the ribeye with Meat Church Blanco Seasoning and cook it until it's browned and juicy. Combine the beef and onions for a rich, savory filling. Roll out your pizza dough and layer one-third with the cheesesteak mixture, topped with provolone slices. Fold the dough over this filling, creating a calzone-style pocket, and sprinkle the remaining pizza surface with mozzarella. A generous drizzle of roasted garlic olive oil and a final touch of finely grated parmesan bring everything together as you bake this masterpiece in a hot oven, resulting in a golden, cheesy, and utterly satisfying pizza that's packed with flavor in every bite.

-
1 large sweet onion, thin sliced
-

-
4-6 tbsp Texas Olive Ranch Roasted Garlic Extra Virgin Olive Oil

-
1 cup (5 oz) low-moisture mozzarella, grated
-
1/2 cup parmesan, finely grated
Filling:
Bomber Pizza
Directions
Preheat the Alfa Moderno Gas Oven over medium heat (about 800ºF). Place two Lodge Cast Iron Skillets in the oven to preheat for about five minutes.
Place two tablespoons of olive oil in a skillet. Add the onions and cook, stirring occasionally, until softened and beginning to char at the edges, about 10 minutes. Remove.
Season the beef with Meat Church Blanco Seasoning and place the thin sliced ribeye in the other skillet and cook, stirring occasionally, until browned at the edges, about 5 minutes. Remove.
Turn the grill heat down to medium low (about 500ºF).
Combine the meat and onions and mix well.
Roll out your pizza dough to fill a floured pizza peel. Place half of the cheesesteak filling on one third of the pizza. Top with two slices of provolone, then fold the dough over to turn one third of the pizza into a calzone.
Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese on the remaining flat part of the pizza. Drizzle Texas Olive Ranch Roasted Garlic Extra Virgin Olive Oil over the top.
Brush the top of the stuffed part of the bomber with the same oil, then grate parmesan on top.
Cook until browned all over and the cheese is bubbling, rotating occasionally to cook evenly.

Recipe Highlights and Insights:
A Bomber Pizza is a creative fusion dish that combines elements of a traditional pizza and a calzone. It typically features a pizza dough that is partially folded over a filling, such as cheesesteak ingredients, to create a pocket similar to a calzone, while the remaining portion of the pizza is left flat and topped like a traditional pizza. The result is a unique combination of textures and flavors, with the folded section offering a stuffed, savory bite and the flat portion providing the classic crispy, cheesy pizza experience. The name "Bomber" likely comes from the substantial and hearty nature of the dish, making it a satisfying meal.
