Ingredients
- 1 lb 80/20 ground beef (rolled into 1/3 lb. balls)

Cattleman's Grill Steakhouse Seasoning
- 4 tbsp Butter
- 4 Slices Mild Cheddar Cheese
- 1 Onion (diced and sautéed in butter)
- 3 Hamburger buns and toppings
Directions
Preheat your Yoder Smokers YS640 pellet grill, set up in direct grill mode, to 350°F.
Position a griddle on the grates or drop it in place of the grates if your grill allows.
Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Sauté the diced onions until they are translucent and fragrant. While the onions cook, generously season the ground beef with Cattleman's Grill Steakhouse Seasoning. Form the seasoned beef into 1/3 pound balls.
Take the sautéed onions off the heat and set them aside. On the griddle, add 2 tablespoons of butter and let it melt. Place the rolled beef balls onto the grill and cook for approximately 30 seconds before flipping them over. Then, using a cast iron grill press, flatten the burgers as thinly as possible. Continue cooking for a few more minutes until they reach your preferred level of doneness (150°F to 155°F for medium to medium-well). For accurate temperature readings, use an instant-read thermometer.
Right before the burgers are finished cooking, distribute equal amounts of sautéed onions onto each patty and top them with a slice of mild cheddar cheese. Allow the cheese to melt over the burgers. Then, they're ready to serve!
