Specifications

Includes: (1) rubber stopper to plug drain hole when in use, (1) male threaded pipe, (4) black plastic plugs to cover handle fasteners inside the drawer
Drawer can be drained by placing a bucket underneath and removing plug OR by installing the threaded pipe (included), attaching clear tubing (not included) and draining to a location of your choosing.

Product Highlights

Draining option #1:

The Quivira Fully Insulated Ice Drawer comes with a threaded male pipe that inserts into a hole in the bottom of the cabinet. The threaded male pipe is then tightened from underneath the cabinet with the provided nut. A PVC female threaded adapter needs to be purchased separately along with clear vinyl tubing to attach to the drain. The interior drawer is then plugged with the provided small black rubber plug while filled with ice. Once the ice has melted, you pull the plug in the drawer and let the water drain into the larger cabinet through the hose underneath. The hose should be routed to a floor drain or out behind the kitchen structure into the yard. It is recommended to have an access door nearby so that the drain line can be seen and accessed if necessary.

Draining option #2:

If not draining the ice into the bottom of the cabinet through the drain line, you will simply place a large catch-basin in front of the drawer on the ground outside of the cabinetry. Pull out the drawer, ensuring the plug is located over the basin. Remove the included black rubber plug and let the water drain into the basin. Then you'll dispose of the water from the basin in a location it can drain properly.
